The Egyptian nationwide group’s trainer Hossam Hassan used to be reportedly outraged after a penalty used to be no longer awarded to the Pharaohs in opposition to Belgium within the 2026 International Cup.
Egypt and Belgium performed to a 1-1 draw of their opening event of the gang degree on Monday night time.
In post-match feedback, Hassan stated, “I’m happy with the players; they’re developing and executing what’s required. I insisted on playing against strong teams before the World Cup.”
He added: “We were the ones who started scoring and were closer to winning. We had a clear penalty that wasn’t given, and what I find strange is that the referee didn’t consult VAR. If it had been against us, it would have been awarded.”
“I’m telling people that we, the Egyptian national team, are not weak, we are still developing, and we have three matches left. The most important thing is to advance to the next round, and we’re taking each match one at a time.”
