Adds Developments, a real estate firm with roots in the UAE, has officially entered the Egyptian market, securing a land bank exceeding 220 feddans spread across East and West Cairo as it prepares to launch its debut local project. Adds Developments Egypt investments
Chairperson Abdullah Sohail said the move draws on the founders’ track record in Egypt’s real estate sector dating back to 2015, spanning contracting, asset management, operations and facility management, layered on top of more than two decades of activity in the UAE market since 2003.
That combined experience, he said, positions the company to oversee every stage of a development — from evaluating investment opportunities through construction, operations and long-term facility management.
East Cairo will serve as the company’s launch point in Egypt, with Adds Developments planning to roll out projects at relatively close intervals drawing on its existing landholdings.

The firm’s first Egyptian project, still in East Cairo, is being framed internally as the opening phase of a broader development pipeline for the area — though the company has yet to release specifics on its size, sales targets, development value or launch date.
Sohail said the firm intends to work with specialized consultants and partners on engineering specifications and project timelines, while placing particular weight on what happens after handover: the company plans to retain ownership of some units within its projects and stay involved in their operation and management over the long term, arguing this affects a development’s performance well beyond completion.
The chairperson pointed to Egypt’s population growth, expanding urban footprint, and the steady rollout of new cities as key drivers behind the company’s decision to invest locally, adding that state-led urban development is opening space for real estate firms to meet shifting housing and investment demand. He linked the company’s strategy to the goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030 agenda on integrated, sustainable urban growth.
The upcoming East Cairo project will feature contemporary architectural design and flexible unit layouts aimed at a range of buyers and investors, according to the company. Eqypt Journal
