Egypt is finalizing preparations for the third edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Festival, due to be held in the country on 6-8 November, gathering over 10,000 entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders from more than 70 countries. Cairo

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Hussein Eissa held a coordination meeting this week with the festival’s organizers on preparations for the entrepreneurship development event.

More than 100 exhibitors and over 60 international speakers from government, business and investment communities are expected to participate in the three-day festival. President of the Global Entrepreneurship Festival – Egypt Baher Mounir Ghabbour and Regional Director Hassan Kamal also attended the meeting.

Eissa framed the hosting rights as a marker of Egypt’s growing standing as a regional center for entrepreneurship, innovation and investment, telling attendees the government sees startups as central to future economic growth given their role in driving job creation, productivity and competitiveness.

He said a dedicated Ministerial Group for Entrepreneurship has been working intensively to back the sector, part of a broader effort to build an integrated ecosystem that improves the investment climate and strengthens Egypt’s startup landscape.

Ghabbour used the meeting to walk through progress made since Egypt’s hosting bid was formally confirmed in late June, briefing officials on coordination between the various bodies involved in staging the event.

He said the goal is to deliver a festival that reflects Egypt’s standing on the world stage while spotlighting local youth talent and the country’s investment potential.

Organizers also outlined the participation tracks open to entrepreneurs, startups and investors from different countries, alongside a set of initiatives aimed at boosting innovation and stimulating capital flows into the sector.

Over its three days, the festival will tackle themes including investment in Africa, the digital economy and artificial intelligence, the green transition, women’s and youth empowerment, social entrepreneurship, SME financing, and deeper economic integration between African economies and global markets — positioning Egypt at the center of that conversation.
